Welcome to ISA-Tokyo! Having had children of our own in international school, we felt there was a need for a more centralized forum for support and information about the international/independent school scene. Having begun in Tokyo, we now have two bases, one in Tokyo and one in London, and consult on international/independent schools in these two cities as well as New York.
Our aim is to bring all the information about international/independent education to one place, whilst offering the right support to families applying to schools. We want to increase awareness of the types of curricula on offer, as well as provide access to materials which will be useful in the learning journey. We are not affiliated with any international/independent school but prefer to take a more balanced approach based on our own experience, knowledge, and research.

I have worked in education for over 25 years, with 10 of those years in school senior leadership. This has included several international, independent and public schools in the UK and Japan. I am experienced in assisting families with school selection, admission assessments and interviews for the independent and international sectors. My current base is London, having lived in Tokyo for a number of years.

I spent my junior high school years in the U.S. and have sent my own children to a well-established international school and am familiar with international schools from a Japanese perspective.
I have struggled to apply for international schools so I want to support families who are eager to study at international schools/universities overseas.
